shamanic healing sessions

what do practitioners of the shamanic arts do?

As humans, we are both physical and nonphysical. We are beings of energy. We describe our nonphysical aspects as our Spirit or Life Force. Influences that affect or deplete this energy can cause symptoms and are called Spiritual Illness. “Illness” that has its source in the effect on our life force require remedies that can tend to or provide healing for this energy/life force. The work of the practitioner in the shamanic arts is to provide remedies for spiritual illness that guide us toward greater wholeness (Sovereignty).

how do we work?

We all have Helping Spirits that are with us throughout our lives. Some traditions might describe these as ‘Guardian Angels.’ Practitioners in the shamanic arts have robust relationships with our Helping Spirits and Power Animals. These are our guides in the nonphysical or Spirit realm. We spend years cultivating these relationships and creating a symbolic language that we can understand. Through this communication we ask our Helping Spirits and the Helping Spirits of our clients for guidance to provide healing remedies to restore depleted or lost energy, or to remove energy that has encroached on our client’s energy.

my philosophy & role as a shamanic practitioner

I see people as whole and not needing to be “fixed.” Some illnesses are spiritual in nature, and therefore the appropriate healing modalities are found in the spiritual realm. As a practitioner in the shamanic arts, I access the spiritual realms to identify what would most benefit you to help you move forward on your healing path toward greater wholeness. I think this is all of our goals. We are born into this world and a veil descends that obscures our understanding of the fullness of who we are — as expressions of the Creator on this earth or as Spiritual Beings having this human experience. Our life and spiritual journeys are to release the illusion of separateness and to once again return to understanding ourselves as integrated human and spiritual beings… as One.

planning for your session

before:

  • Give yourself plenty of time to arrive, or sign into Zoom, Skype or FaceTime.

  • Have water, tea, and tissues nearby.

  • Set yourself up in a location that is private and comfortable, and where you won’t be interrupted, if possible.

after:

  • Please allow 30 minutes to relax and begin to integrate your experience before returning to work or other demanding activities.

  • I highly recommend going to nature. You can “aimlessly wander” in familiar surroundings following the lead of your own inner wisdom.

  • Drink water and allow yourself space and time to integrate the healing that has been offered.
